FIRST CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

A SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY THANSGIVING SERVICE-Will be held this Tuesday, November 25, at Holy Martyrs in Oreland. The service will begin at 7:30 P.M.                       CHURCH DECKING PARTY-We will be decorating the church building this Saturday, starting at 3:00 P.M.  After decorating, the group will share a soup and salad supper. There is a sign up sheet on the narthex table to indicate whether you will be able to help. Please join us for the beginning of this year’s Christmas season!   

BABY DEDICATION-Next Sunday, November 30, Avery Ramsey will be dedicated during the morning Worship Service. Please come and participate in this special event! 

THERE WILL BE A BRIEF SPECIAL CBM-Next Sunday, November 30, after the Morning Worship to discuss the Korean Ministry Proposal.                                                                   

THE MITTEN TREE-Will make its arrival in the narthex on Sunday, November 30 and will remain there until Sunday, December 21. It will be used to collect warm winter articles of clothing, such as mittens, scarves, hats, socks, etc, to be distributed to people who have need of them. Make sure that you stock up on your Mitten Tree items now. Thank you!    

THE NEXT AID FOR FRIENDS COOK-IN-Will be Tuesday, December 2, starting at 9:30 A.M.                                               

CHURCH BOARD ORGANIZATION MEETING-Will be held on Sunday, December 7, after the morning Worship Service. After the reorganization, the regular Church Board meeting will be held. It is important that both 2008 and 2009 board members be present. Also, there are commission preference slips available. Please turn them into the church office no later than Sunday, November 30.       

BRIEF CHOIR REHEARSALS WILL CONTINUE EACH SUNDAY-After the Morning Worship Service through December 16.  Then, on Friday, December 19, there will be a full dress rehearsal in the sanctuary at 7:00 P.M. Everyone participating must attend this rehearsal! Thank you!.

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM-Sunday, December 21, starting with a Carry-In Dinner at 5:00 P.M. After the dinner at 7:00 P.M., there will be a “Lessons and CarolsService featuring the choir and vocal soloists. The evening will end with a Candle Lighting Service.
